I strive to represent this bloom as the magnificent specimen it is. The Digitalis purpurea (more commonly known as Foxglove) has a spectacular bloom with bell shaped flowers and medicinal properties. Hummingbird pollinators love this flower. They come in many beautiful colors, but it should be noted that some species are poisonous. Sometimes called Dead Man’s Bells or Witch’s Gloves, the toxins can be absorbed via the skin or ingestion. Beauty sometimes requires caution.
