"From My Spirit" builds on my earlier work "Gratitude," deepening its focus on divine connection and self-celebration. This piece portrays an intimate moment of prayer, using luminous blues inspired by the Virgin Mary's garments to highlight Black divinity and spiritual radiance. 
 
Golden accents in her hair symbolize the regality and divine nature of Black beauty, reimagining traditional religious iconography through a Black lens. It’s both a prayer and a celebration, affirming our spiritual grace and sacred light as a community. This portrait honors gratitude, connection, and the divine essence within us all.
