Divine Surrender is the painted interpretation of my 14K goldpoint piece, Agility to Surrender. This work is a tribute to dance as a profound form of expression and spiritual liberation—a moment of transcendence where movement draws us closer to the divine. Inspired by the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, NYC  The painting captures the essence of surrender and joy.
The golden hues and vibrant yellows create a sense of whimsy and radiance, while the halo symbolizes the purity of the dancer’s intention. Her blue skin represents divinity, a visual connection to the sacred blue cloak often seen in depictions of the Virgin Mary.
