Before the introduction of evidence-based medicine by Europeans, many African cultures placed deep trust in the wisdom and power of the traditional medicine man. Inspired by this legacy—and by my own experiences being married to a physician—I imagined the intensity and reverence of his healing rituals.
 
This sculpture captures a powerful moment in time: the rhythmic cadence of his dance, the resonant chanting, the earthy aromas, and the swirling motion of sacred healing cloths. It is a tribute to both the mysticism and humanity of ancient healing practices.
